EFU Life Assurance Ltd., a leading Life and Health insurer, Family Takaful operator and Retirement Solutions provider in the private sector of Pakistan, has been recognised as an Employer of Choice at the 5th Annual IFC-PBC Employer of Choice Gender Diversity Awards, reaffirming the Company's commitment to creating an inclusive, equitable and supportive workplace where women can thrive and advance.
The award was presented at a ceremony held on September 3, 2026, at Mövenpick Hotel, Karachi, organised under the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) and International Finance Corporation (IFC)'s initiative to promote greater gender diversity, transparency and accountability across Pakistan's private sector. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Simon Andrew, IFC Division Director – Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asia, while Senator Sherry Rehman joined as the Chief Guest.
This year's awards received more than 70 applications, with organisations assessed through the Gender Diversity and Disclosure Scorecard, which evaluates companies across five Gender Equity Principles: Leadership and Accountability; Gender Diversity and Workforce Representation; Gender Pay Gap; Optimal Workplace Culture; and Coaching and Mentoring for Female Employees.
EFU Life's recognition reflects its efforts to embed gender inclusion across the employee experience, including leadership accountability, workforce representation, pay equity, family-friendly workplace practices, employee wellbeing, safe and respectful work environments and professional development opportunities for women.
The award was received by Mr. Mohammed Ali Ahmed, MD & CEO, EFU Life.
