Me and EFU Life

After completing my Master's degree in Economics in 2001, I remained unemployed for a year. In 2002, I began working in a clerical position at FESCO where my salary was reduced from Rs. 3,700 to Rs. 3,300. My first annual increment of Rs. 120 was also withheld due to a clerical error.

Despite these challenges, I remained determined to build a successful career. On February 9, 2004, I began my professional journey with EFU Life, marking a life-changing turning point in my career. I started under the supervision and guidance of Mr. Jafar Hussain, who became my mentor and teacher.

Motivations

Coming from a rural background, I aspired to live a meaningful, professional, and disciplined life with financial independence. I wanted to build a career that would allow me to use my abilities, develop my skills, and earn rewards based on my performance.

I was looking for a platform where I could fulfil my potential and make a meaningful difference. Above all, I believed that “Life insurance is not just a business; it is a service to humanity.” My desire to connect with people and serve them motivated me to leave three previous jobs and pursue a career in the insurance profession.

My Message

I always remember the words: “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”

Achievements

Until 2007, I considered myself an ordinary consultant. I then began assessing myself and working on my mindset and professional approach. I learned from and built connections with some of the Company's top performers, particularly Ms. Shumaila Rani, Ms. Shazia Shokat Abbasi, Mr. Shehbaz Iqbal, and Mr. Teekam Dass. Their guidance and influence played a significant role in my success.

• Travelling internationally to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Dubai, the Maldives, Australia, Germany, France, and the USA.
