EFU Hemayah Takaful has partnered with the IU Centre for Excellence in Islamic FinTech (IU CEIF), Iqra University, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in Islamic Finance, Takaful, Islamic FinTech, professional development, research and industry engagement.
The collaboration aims to create meaningful opportunities for knowledge exchange between academia and industry while supporting the development of human capital and encouraging innovation across Pakistan's Islamic financial services ecosystem. The partnership also seeks to facilitate the integration of Islamic finance principles with emerging financial technologies and promote the adoption of relevant international best practices and standards.
Under the collaboration, EFU Hemayah Takaful and IU CEIF will explore a range of initiatives including professional training and capacity-building programmes, research collaborations, conferences, seminars, workshops, knowledge-sharing activities and student and faculty engagement. The partnership will also support greater awareness and knowledge of Takaful, life insurance and Islamic financial planning, with EFU Hemayah contributing industry expertise to relevant academic and professional initiatives.
As part of the engagement, EFU Hemayah will also participate in IU CEIF's thematic working groups, contributing to discussions aligned with areas of mutual interest. The working groups bring together industry professionals, regulators, academics and practitioners to foster thought leadership and contribute to the development of the Islamic FinTech ecosystem.
